TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm a 15-year Texas Teacher who uses the TEKS to drive instruction. Currently, I am teaching 4th and 5th Graders in a Gifted and Talented Pull-Out Program. I have taught in a variety of school districts. My teaching career began in a rural district where I taught reading for an entire Junior High School. Then, I moved on to a suburban district where I taught Intermediate School Reading and Social Studies. For the past 12 years, I've been at an Urban Title 1 School.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is to instill my students with higher order thinking skills and problem solving strategies so that my students are prepared for the future. I take pride in creating a multi-cultural environment that values my student's heritage. My students are up, moving and talking through project based learning.
