I am a multi-subject elementary school teacher. I have worked with a variety of grade levels, from kindergarten to 8th grade. Attending multiple professional developments and working with a variety of grade levels, has given me a multitude of opportunities to interact with a variety of educators to develop strategies, activities, and procedures that work in the classroom. I have first hand experience with the products I develop and create.
I find that it is very crucial to teach children with love and patience. It is so important that teachers have a passion for their work because it is an art. My style of teaching is constantly evolving depending on my students and how they respond to content. I am structured in my instruction, but I also try to prepare for the possible outcomes of the lessons I am teaching. I also believe it is important to develop relationships with each individual student. Making a connection with students is where you make the biggest difference in their lives. It is when you become more than an instructor, but also a true role model.
Yet to be added
I have a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Art. I will be starting a Masters program to obtain a Masters in Educational Administration.
I have a passion for creativity and organization. It can be very time consuming and almost impossible to find differentiation activities or modified assignments to meet the needs of students performing below or above the expectations. My focus is to provide fun, yet effective, activities for these students in order to help students become more confident and engaged in the lesson activities. I also provide assessments that correlate to the activities to provide students with consistency.
