TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught middle school and high school for four years. In addition, I have worked in and directed programming in after school literacy programs for two years. I have a MAT in Teaching History and a BA in History.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in using inquiry to drive curiosity and learning. I shape my lessons around challenging or controversial questions in history and create learning experiences that allow students to explore and investigate those questions to draw their own conclusions. I teach history as a literacy-based subject and include a strong focus on find and using evidence, crafting arguments, identifying perspectives and making connections.
