TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Michele is a life-long educator with experience teaching every age from preschool through graduate school. She has been a classroom teacher, K-8 reading teacher, a district Reading Specialist, and a college professor. In addition to teaching future educators at Clarke University, Paula is a licensed special educator experienced in teaching K-12 students with special needs.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Michele is known as an inspirational educator. Her knowledge and experience in education is both deep and wide. Her interests range from reading to middle schools to motivation and curriculum development. Michele is a national expert on Professional Development Schools and is currently the President of the Iowa Association for Professional Development Schools. Paula is known as a passionate and hardworking educator. She builds an incredible rapport with students by planning creative and meaningful lessons, building an acceptance for all students, and being able to conduct tough conversations with both love and support. She is an incredible mentor to others and often helps struggling teachers become effective and confident educators.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Paula and Michele have both won awards for excellence in teaching. We have visited thousands of classrooms all over the United States and in several countries. We know what good teaching and good schools look like. We have not only created our own successful classrooms, but we’ve helped hundreds of other teachers to be successful as well.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Michele Vosberg, Ph.D holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, an M.S. from UW Madison in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in reading, and a Ph.D. in Professional Studies in Education from Capella University.
