I have been a school based speech-language pathologist since 2008. I have primarily worked with preschool through middle school, but also have experience at an alternative high school working with students with emotional and behavioral disorders. I also enjoy being a CF supervisor and am certified through the American Speech and Hearing Association.
Years ago, my clinical fellowship supervisor (a sweet woman from the country who had been working in the schools for many years) said to me that no matter how trying the day, if you have found a way to laugh with your students, then the day was a success. I have tried to live and practice by that ever since!
I was so lucky to be in the July edition of the ASHA Leader! I also won a grant for student instructional materials for a proposal submitted through a state professional organization.
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders
