I am in my seventh year of teaching as an elementary reading intervention teacher. I have taught in inner-city, suburban and rural school districts in NYS. Teaching and working with children is a passion and honor. I like to motivate them to learn through hands-on activities and play.
I have been trained in the Orton-Gillingham method. I use multi sensory strategies, with reinforcement through games and other hands on methods.
Yet to be added
I received my Bachelors and Masters degree from The College of Saint Rose, in Albany NY, in Childhood Education (1-6) and Literacy (B-6).
Besides my creative strengths, which I use to engage my students, I believe I am an organization nut. I have developed a thorough organizational system to use in my Response to Intervention (RtI) room.
