TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began my career teaching 3rd grade in a rural K-8 school and then moved to 7th and 8th grade science in the same school. I spent a year teaching K-5 Technology followed by 9 years teaching Kindergarten, and a nine weeks teaching 7th grade language arts. I participated in an enrichment math program for three years. I have taught math to 7th and 8th graders for 4 years. Last year I taught a Montessori style 1st grade class.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to be as hands-on as possible. I like to incorporate art, music, and movement into lessons. I feel that the more students "do" with the material, the more they learn.
