I am a high school Spanish teacher and currently teach as part of the IB program at my school. I began my teaching career as an inner-city teacher in Atlanta and have since moved to Arizona to be closer to family.
My teaching style is nearly 100% performance-based. My goal for my students is that they will leave my class knowing how to use Spanish, not just knowing about Spanish.
I have been recognized at my school for my interactive methodology and collaboration with peers.
I graduated from Arizona State University as a Spanish teacher. As part of my college experience, I studied abroad in Chile for one year. Soon after, I participated in volunteer work in Brazil where I learned Brazilian Portuguese.
