I've been in HS education for 20 years, first as an English and AP English teacher, then as an AP Art History teacher. I also coordinate interdisciplinary studies and have started and run PBL program for HS, LS, and MS students. Most recently, I co-founded and direct the I.D.E.A. Schools Network, which helps independent schools implement Project-Based Learning: www.ideaschoolsnetwork.com. For more on my teaching philosophy, watch my ELI Talk on passion-based learning: http://elitalks.org/why-we-need-passion-based-learning-jewish-education.
Learning by Doing and making Real World Connections are essential parts of my classroom, as are Arts Integration, Digital Literacy, and Global Citizenship.
