I have been teaching English/Literature for six years at an International Baccalaureate college preparatory high school in Milwaukee, WI. I have been the English department chair for four years and have been leading my team in areas of close reading, vocabulary, and grammar. I have been to professional developments in the local area, Washington DC, Georgia, Florida, and Oregon to further my instructional strategies and classroom resources. I have worked with special education students and those with outstanding abilities.
Engaging, student-centered style with a focus on state standards (ACT, Common Core, and IB). I have class sizes of 40 students and tailor my resources to meet the demands of a wide range of learners.
