My teaching style leans towards a delegator. I like to place learning in the hands of the students by guiding them in group settings to share and gather knowledge on a subject matter. My desire is to see students working together to reach a common goal. I am also a perfectionist and a rule follower, so my classroom is very organized and structured. Ironically, I am very flexible when I am teaching. I don't mind going off-course from my lesson plans, but there is always a plan in place to begin with! Most importantly my teaching style is geared towards learning new ways to support students individual needs, so they will love learning as much as I do!

In the past 5 years since I graduated college, I've lived in 3 different cities and worked in 3 different schools. With the amount of times my husband and I have had to move with his job, private schools are the best option for my teaching career. One of the many reasons why I love the private school setting is because of the smaller class sizes and the flexibility to design lessons and develop curriculum based on the school's standards rather than state standards. There is also variety in the private schools I've worked in. For example on one hand I've taught at an college preparatory 1:1 Apple Distinguished school and on the other hand, I've taught at a school that provided high quality education to students who were zoned to public Title 1 schools. Wherever I've taught, I found the same thing- Teachers who love to teach, inspire children who love to learn.
