23 years of teaching experience. Teaching with empathy and creativity to engage at-risk learners.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Designed, implemented and maintained a school-within-a-school for an at-risk population of students at East Kentwood Freshman Campus. Created lesson plans, communicated with staff, arranged meetings and designed events for 35 urban teens in conjunction with a 5-person team of artists at West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology. (WMCAT) Literacy Coach and Learning Labs coach for Kentwood Public Schools
