I have been teaching kindergarten for the past 12 years and love it! I am currently taking a break from the classroom to focus on my family. I am blessed with 2 very special sons, ages 7 and 2, and a wonderful husband who is a middle school teacher! I have worked with many children with special needs in the regular classroom and have spent many hours planning, modifying, and creating activities for them. I have also spent time co-teaching with special education teachers.
I am a very passionate, hands-on teacher and love to be organized! I believe that every child can learn, but not in the same way. It is not uncommon for students to be working at many levels in my classroom at the same time. I have spent a lot of time to create materials that are leveled for different learners.
Master Teacher designation through the Ohio Department of Education
I graduated in 2001 from Mount Union College (now The University of Mount Union) in Alliance, Ohio with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am licensed to teach all subjects, grades K - 8. I grew up in Columbiana, Ohio and attended the same school district for all of my K - 12 career. I was always very involved in school activities and believe that they can be a great way to enhance your educational experience!
