TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teaching has been in my blood since early high school. While in high school, I volunteered to be an Outdoor Education student leader for groups of 6th grade students who went out, and spent a week in the woods. I taught life and physical sciences, but also worked with student's social and emotional skills. After that experience, I knew that I wanted to become an educator. From that point on, I gravitated to all things education. In college, I was a writing and Spanish tutor for the school. While working retail part-time, I became the lead training coach. Since then, I have been teaching 11th and 12 grade English, and Computer Science.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to walk in every day excited. If I have high energy, then I know the students will have it too. I try to used a wide verity of mixed media to present information, and try to offer a wide array of assessment options
