I am a teacher in Scotland, UK. I have 10 years classroom experience teaching children mostly in the Early Years - ages 4-9. For seven years I have worked with children with Additional Support Needs/Special Educational Needs within a specialist unit for children with Autism and also supporting mainstream children to overcome literacy and numeracy difficulties. I regularly make 'active' resources for the children in my class and am passionate about helping all children access the resources they need and passionate about providing teachers with the tools to do this.
I love teaching and find my best teachers have been the children I work with. I am firm, fair and fun. I want to allow ALL children to access an active and fun curriculum which does not involve a textbook - hence I want to make my own alternative one full of fun resources that can inspire a love of learning. I work closely with Teaching Assistants and it is important to me to provide them with all the tools they require to support children without having to spend half an hour explaining them!
