I am a former teacher turned stay at home mom to my 2.5 year old son and 11 month old (currently). I worked in the field of education for 10 years before staying home. I was an elementary classroom teacher, technology facilitator and intervention specialist.
I believe that children learn best through hands-on learning and that constant movement, creative lessons and center-based activities keep them engaged and motivated.

I graduated from Montclair State University in 2008 with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, K-5 Teaching Certificate, and Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certificate. I also obtained my Instructional Technology Certificate in 2015.
I am currently creating a laid back Tot School program for my older son. For each week, I round up some of the best developmental activities on the web and compile them into themed calendars. I gather activities that improve his fine motor and gross motor skills, activate his creativity with art projects, stimulate his senses with sensory play and support his independence with practical life experiences. Oh, and we love food so we do themed snacks at least 3 times per week! You can find the FREE weekly plans and materials lists I put together for each weekly theme on my blog (toddler fundamentals.blogspot.com). I also do quick weekly highlight videos on my YouTube channel, Toddler FUNdamentals, so be sure to check it out! The lesson plans are easy to navigate with direct links to the blogs and resources where I found them. The materials lists include everything you will need for that week.
