I have taught a total of ten years: 6th grade language arts and social studies, 4th grade (all subjects), 3rd grade gifted self-contained (all subjects), 5th grade reading and writing, and I am currently a gifted specialist where I'm helping to develop and build the gifted programs at two schools.
My goal is to help develop thinkers that question and seek new knowledge. To reach my goal, I realize the foundation of learning is built on strong relationships. Having strong, positive relationships in the classroom opens the door to risk-taking and thinking outside the box. Once it's established that asking questions and making mistakes is okay, true learning can happen.

When I am not teaching, I am a mom, and love the parent perspective I now have toward education. Education is truly my passion!
