I am entering into my fifth year of teaching special education. I have taught in both the public and parochial schools. I work in both co-teaching and resource settings. A lot of my experience is in reading and writing, but I have taught math as well.
I try my best to have the kids always guide my instruction. I do a lot of hands on activities and whole lot of games. As a special education teacher, I often work with students who hate school. I have learned to be creative in order to reach these kiddos. Games are a great way to do that! I even use them as assessments :)
