TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught twenty nine years in Georgia. My first two years of teaching were in San Jose', Costa Rica and I must say that was a wonderful way to begin a teaching career. During my thirty one years in the profession I have taught all grade levels from second through twelfth and also college level courses. My major content area throughout those years has been language arts, but I have taught all subject areas in k-5 and spent a couple of years with a high school special ed. classroom. In looking back over the adventure, I believe that the variety of the experience has been MY greatest teacher! 2015 Update: Having enjoyed retirement for one year, I am currently teaching at the college level - World Literature - and loving it!
