TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a 20 year teaching veteran. I have taught Theatre and music to middle and high school students. I have also taught speech for 3 years and I am certified in ELA, Speech, Music, Theatre, and Social Studies. I have written and developed curriculum that is grounded in the National Theatre Standards. My students have been awarded Best Actors and Actress awards, and my students have placed first in numerous acting competitions.My love for the classroom has sustained my enthusiasm and commitment to excellence for the past twenty plus years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have taught many students from various backgrounds, learning styles and economic backgrounds. I love the creative aspect of theatre and want every student to have an opportunity to explore and create. Instilling a love of theatre is my main goal and assisting students to understand that the theater is a varied place with opportunities in acting, technical and business.
