TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Alyssa currently teaches Human Geography and Advanced Placement World History at Waconia High School, in Waconia, Minnesota. She has been teaching Social Studies since 2010 and in that time have taught U.S. History, Economics, Government, World History, and Midwest Studies at Northstar Public School in Cando, North Dakota, as well as Economics as South View Middle School in Edina, Minnesota. Brittany has been teaching at Big Lake High School in Big Lake, Minnesota since 2010. She has taught Economics, Current Issues, World Geography and World History.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Our teaching style includes a wide range of methods. The goal of each of our lessons is to engage students with the content in a unique and meaningful way.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Alyssa was a finalist for Minnesota Teacher of the Year in 2018. Brittany was a nominee for Minnesota Teacher of the Year in 2016.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Alyssa earned her Bachelor's degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and a Master's degree in Social Studies Education from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN. Brittany earned her Bachelor's degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and earned the accreditation of being a National Board Certified Teacher in 2015.
