TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Ann, who works at a Software Engineer, is the person behind Two Thumbs Up. At her job, she mentors colleagues, shares her work experiences and writes software. Outside work, Ann is a volunteer tutor for fourth, fifth and sixth graders with their Math, Science and English lessons.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to teach using examples and illustrations. When explaining a topic or answering a question, I help my students understand better, not just by giving a quick definition, but also by supplementing it with ideas that they can relate to. I believe that each student learns at his or her own pace through different teaching approaches, so I pay attention and adjust my teaching manner as I go along with the lesson.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

For Ann, it is seeing the students she tutored grasp the topics that used to be difficult for them and eventually see each of them graduate with honors and advance in their education with hard-earned scholarships.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Ann graduated at University of the Philippines, Los BaƱos - Cum Laude
