I have taught in a large urban school, a small town school, and in a multi-level classroom. The bulk of my teaching has been done in the early elementary grade levels, but I have taught students all the way to high school. I am currently homeschooling my own children while teaching others in a homeschool co-op.
I love using hands on activities to engage students. I enjoy using STEM challenges and interactive notebooks to allow my students to personalize the lessons.
I was awarded the 2016 Patricia Behring Senior Teacher of the Year in South Carolina.
I have a BS in Elementary Education from Ball State University in Indiana.
I have been married to a wonderful man for 25 years. We have four beautiful children ages 21-10. My husband and I are big history buffs and we love to travel the country with our children to teach them about history where it happened.
