TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Lukas has 11 years experience as a K-5 teacher and engineering curriculum developer. He has spent the past 5 years as a staff developer at a magnet school with engineering and mathematics focus. Lukas consults with schools around the country, providing teacher professional development, curriculum development, and coaching. He has recently been published in Science & Children (Elephant Trunks & Dolphin Tails: Engineering for Animals, Dec 2104) and Teaching Children Mathematics (STEM Gives Meaning to Mathematics, Mar 2015).

MY TEACHING STYLE

Integrated engineering curriculum teaches children to collaborate, communicate, and solve problems creatively. Engineering 'levels the playing field' for all kids while making learning fun.
