Ashan R. Hampton, graduated from the Donaghey Scholars Program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and has been teaching English at colleges and universities for over 20 years, most notably at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. Ashan’s original research project, History of the Arkansas State Hospital 1859-1930, was published in the Pulaski County Historical Review (1995), and continues to be cited by history scholars today. Her original articles on notable African American Arkansans also appear in the Encyclopedia of Arkansas History and Culture. With her doctoral studies on hold, Ashan has found success in online education. She produces and teaches original writing and grammar courses to global audiences. Ashan is the owner and principal editor for her consulting business, Cornerstone Communications, which specializes in producing error-free documents through online writing classes, books and editing services.
