TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have four years teaching experience (three years in first grade and one year in second). I work at a title 1 school with lots of ESL students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like things to be as hands-on and real as possible. We've created a class store to learn about economics, a pizza shop to practice fractions, etc. I want students to have opportunities to learn in many different settings and formats: individually, with a partner, in small groups and whole group. I emphasize teamwork and problem solving in my classroom, both academically and socially.
