TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started as a 9th grade reading teacher in Houston, Texas, and then I taught 8th grade English in Houston. Iowa was a return home for me. I taught 9-12 Speech, 9th English, 11th English, and sponsored yearbook at a Catholic school. Then I moved from NE Iowa to near Des Moines and taught 8th grade reading and language arts for a few years. I also taught Careers, Interdisciplinary Seminar, 7th grade reading, and started up our RtI program by teaching a comprehension intervention class to 8th graders. That grew into a 6-8 model and now includes math. Now I am a 7-12 Reading Coach in Marshall, Minnesota.
