TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching for 22 years! I began my teaching career in Elementary Special Education. I did that for 6 years. (God Bless those that still do!) I have one year experience in fourth grade, three years in Kindergarten, two years in third grade and I have been teaching FIRST GRADE for almost nine years!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love 'teachable moments'!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I'm honored. (Had to write something here so that my profile reads "100%" complete. :)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I was a 13 year student at the rural school in Bland, Missouri! I graduated in 1984. The class of 1985 was the last to graduate from there before the district consolidated with another. In High School I played volleyball, basketball and softball. I was co-editor of the year book, homecoming candidate two times, yearbook queen, prom queen and salutatorian! Impressive huh? (There were only seven people in my class! Teehee!) I loved that school! I do have my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been blessed with an amazing family including those that came before me and those that came into this world because of me. Eddie and I have been married for 25 years. We have three great sons. We are all active members at Immaculate Conception Parish in Owensville, Missouri.
