I enjoy implementing current, applicable, engaging and unique strategies to teach high school biology. In addition, these activities must address the current state standards and make efficient use of valuable class time. My students are 9th and 10th grade honors and pre-Inter-baccalaureate students who are naturally motivated to try new and different methods of learning.
I have a formal, yet friendly demeanor and incorporate humor into my teaching style.
Being chosen as one of six high school biology teachers in my district to write new curriculum was a high point. The committee worked together during the summers and workdays for over three years and still meet annually.

Life Do more than exist, live. Do more than touch, feel. Do more than look, observe. Do more than read, absorb. Do more than hear, listen. Do more than listen, understand. Do more than think, ponder. Do more than talk, say something. -John H. Rhoades
