TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 11th year teaching in Early Childhood Education. Five years in 1st,1 year of 2nd grade, 1 year in Pre-Kindergarten, and four years in Kindergarten. I love teaching my babies, and hope to continue my career teaching birth to grade 3.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to be hands on, and am working to become more organized and uniform. So I like to create things to help me do those things.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I continue to be Mentor at my school, as well as currently act as the secretary of our PBIS team, and have served as the Kindergarten Team Lead Teacher.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I started my professional learning at the University of Missouri-Columbia in Nursing. I switched majors to education and finished my Early Childhood Degree at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. I graduated at SIUE in 2003, then moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina to begin my career as an educator.

I met my husband here in North Carolina, and have been married now for 4 years.
