TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently in my 17th year of teaching Spanish and hold a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I have served for seven years as a member of our school improvement steering committee.

MY TEACHING STYLE

While new to using TPRS, I love teaching through novels with a combination of grammar snaps. Being a teacher means to never stop learning and adapting and finding news ways to engage my students to foster true acquisition of the language.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for my bachelor's degree in education with an endorsement in Spanish. I continued my education by earning my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College in Nebraska.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have a passion for designing curriculum and seeing it play out in my classroom with my students. I believe that education shouldn't be "sit and get" but interactive and engaging. I love that I am able to share a love of languages with my students as they explore Spanish!
