I have 9 years of experience teaching high school mathematics in a wide variety of environments – a 3000 student school in NH, a very high performing 1400 student school in MA, a 13-year hiatus to raise my 3 sons and currently at an urban school of 1400 with a large non-native English-speaking population. I have a BA in Mathematics Education and an MA Ed with a concentration in Mathematics. I am Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsed. I serve on an in-school committee to reach STEM gifted students and guide them to success in STEM careers. I am actively involved in Mass Insight for Education to elevate the advanced class participation of students in poverty. And I serve on DESE’s coaching networking system to improve the quality of teaching in the lowest performing schools in MA.
All students need kindness every day. Most students take a risk every day. I should too. All students deserve the honors questions. Every student can. If you believe they can. Our students are our future. They need our best. Every day. No matter what.

As the mother of 3 boys, I have learned so much from their experiences. They have a variety of teachers and I love to hear about how they are learning math and their favorite things about their teacher’s approach. I often try to incorporate these methods in my own classroom. I am also a personal trainer and multi-sport endurance athlete. I work very hard to maintain both a strong body and mind in order to be a role model for my students.
