I have taught Third Grade for 11 years. I previously taught Second Grade for 31 years. During my 42 year teaching career I have made it my goal to keep up with the current tends in education. I also have spent hours findng ways to reach all students. I am excited to be able to share some of my ideas here at TpT.
My teaching style depends on the student group, the subject matter, the time of year and so much more. I try to give a short whole group lesson, followed by group or partner work, and then individualized practice. My instruction moves quickly and stays on target. Actively engaged children learn more and display good behavior. I have tried many approaches and methods over the year and have taken the best of what I have learned and came up with a teaching style that works for me!
