I completed student teaching at Penn Hills School District for Kindergarten and fourth grades during the fall of 2007. I served as a long-term and short-term substitute in a few school districts outside of Pittsburgh, PA. After struggling too long to find a contracted position, I moved to Virginia in the summer of 2011. This is my sixth year teaching fourth grade in Virginia.
I have more than one. I do not believe that there is a single utmost style of teaching. It depends on the content taught, the learning styles of the students, and the environment of the classroom/school.
Five-Year Badge for my county Dean's List in college
I received my B.S.E in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 2007. I took an extra PRAXIS exam and became certified in Middle Level English (6-8). I received my M.Ed. in Education with a Reading Specialist Certification in 2011 and also from Clarion University.
