TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching Spanish for 12 years. This is my 10th year teaching AP Spanish. I have taught IB (International Baccalaureate) Spanish B as well. I have experience teaching middle school, Spanish 1, 2, and 3. I have presented at OFLA (Ohio Foreign Language Association) about using authentic sources in the classroom and have received several technology grants from my school. I love teaching Spanish and learning new ways to involve speaking, listening and authentic sources in the classroom! I love Teachers Pay Teachers because it allows all of us to share ideas!

MY TEACHING STYLE

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have presented at OFLA (Ohio Foreign Language Association) about using authentic sources in the classroom and have received several technology grants from my school.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from a small school in northern Ohio then went to Ohio Northern University. I graduated with a degree in Spanish and a teaching license. I received my master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I learned so much about teaching a language after my son, who's now five, started to talk. This definitely made me appreciate how a person learns a language! I feel like I am a much better teacher now that I'm a mom!
