TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Karen: 7-8th grade English, 9-12 College-Credit English Courses Stephanie: 4-8th grade English, Math, and Honors Math, Founder of Effective K12 Schools

MY TEACHING STYLE

We feel that strong vocabulary is a necessity in every content area. According to Marzano, a leading educator and researcher, learning vocabulary is most effective when the word or concept is connected to a symbol, definition, and repeated exposure, as well as put into context. We try and fulfill all of these strategies in our vocabulary units.
