I have been a Speech Language Pathologist in both the public school and clinic settings for 12 years. As a middle school based SLP, my students are in grades 6-8. Academically, their skills fall between 2nd- th grades. In the clinic, my clients range in age from two through adulthood. In recent years the majority of the clients that I see have a Traumatic Brain Injury.
I would describe my style as practical and very deficit specific. I do not spend time in therapy at school playing games that do not address deficit areas. For younger children I do incorporate more games but with my older students I find it is more beneficial to make activities that address deficits interesting as opposed to playing games and they seem to prefer this also.

I am the mom to a two year old talking machine who was born at 26 weeks gestation and weighed 1 lb 5 oz. She amazes me every day and my dedication to my students and the field has grown so much because of her.
