TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Currently, I am a Homesteading Mom who Homeschools our kiddos. And LOVE every minute of it!! I was a kindergarten/first-grade teacher for 8 years. I have my masters in early childhood/elementary education. I hold a teaching certificate in Maryland and I am 2-3 classes away from my admin certificate.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style can be summed up with this poem. "Teaching Your Child Through Play" I tried to teach my child with books. He gave me only puzzled looks. I tried to teach my child with words. They passed him by often unheard. Despairingly, I turned aside. "How shall I teach this child?" I cried. Into my hand he put the key "Come," he said, "play with me."

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and I have my master's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education also from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. In 2015 I became a National Board Certified Teacher.

I am a mom of four; I have two daughters and twin boys. I love spending time with my family, homesteading, camping and traveling.
