He was active in his organization as an Alumni of Omega Tau Sigma 1906 Fraternity and Sorority and became the Chairman of Cotabato Cluster. His involvement in school, church, ministry, organization and community linkages made him be a productive leader. His famous adage in life that motivates him to unleash his full potential is "he accepts failures because everyone fails at something but he can't accept not trying” he said, these words reminded him to adventure his journey in life and to live with enthusiasm. In his simplicity, you could notice the marked of striving hard to reach his goals in life. He was a poor young boy when he started to dream becoming a successful person in life, what’s his walk a talk stories? let’s try to dig deeper to know him better. ISIDRO Jr. or commonly known as "Jun" was born on November 13, 1988, at La Fortuna, Mlang, North Cotabato. He is now 28 years of age, the fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. Isidro O. Andea Sr. his father was a tenant farmer and laborer, his mother was a plain housekeeper and he has 7 siblings. It's been formidable for him to finish his studies because of lack of financial support. His father's income as a laborer was not enough to raise 8 children and he could still remember the days where all of them were in schooling. He helped his parents while in schooling. He really worked hard as a laborer too same with his father's job but he loves to do it because he knew that it could help him a lot in school. He tried to become a working student, he went to school every day and walked with 5 kilometers distance to school for an hour early in the morning during his high school days. He sacrificed for four years a faraway school just to finish his high school level and fortunately, he graduated as Valedictorian. He was determined to make things happen in his dreams and hopes to improve the quality living of his family. He was brave to face and encounter the turmoil on his journey to prove that life on earth full of mystery and success if you wanted to make things happen. He said that “dreams are mere dreams if we will not strive to reach them” and “poverty is not the hindrance to have access to education” it just a matter of believing and trusting yourself that you can make all things possible through our omnipotent God. This young laborer's boy inspires the life of many people, he didn't even give up despite the struggles that he encountered in his life. He could still remember all the sacrifices that he made. He went to the farm every day early as 4 o'clock in the morning to cultivate crops and helped his father to pasture the carabao and went back home at 5 o'clock to help his sister and brothers doing chores and prepare himself for school. At 6 o'clock, he started to walk the 5-km distance going to school, and in the afternoon, he rushed himself to went home to helped his mother to care his siblings and doing chores again. After their dinner in the evening, he helped his older sister and brother to clean and prepare the beddings and when he was in his room he started to study his notes, he doesn't have books because he was a public-school student and books were not available during his time all he need to do was to take down notes all of his subject. He perseveres to learn and study, he aspired to become a lawyer or a doctor some-day. This led him to make things better in his life and to help people who are needy. He wanted to help poor people who have the same journey with his life. He dreamed of building the church where people could worship God, school wherein children could able to learn and nurture their life to become holistic individual and to have a foundation for out of school youth. These plans of him strengthen his heart to continue making good to others. People whom they knew about him called a "Mysterious guy", his personality reflects whom he is. He is generous to others, humble, hardworking, kind, fun to be with, God-fearing, and he knows how to deal with other people, family oriented, and optimistic person. His flexible character made him be known, he can dance, a little bit singing, player and sports-minded, he loves to play table tennis, hiking and climbing, adventurous and loves to hang-out with his favorite soundtracks. He is also skillful in an academic aspect and joined the different competition. With this talented and skillful guy, you can't believe where his gifts came from, but well, in fact, his both parents didn't graduate in their elementary level. So, he needs to fulfill the dreams of his parents to finish their studies through him, that's why for him “Education is opportunity and blessings to his lifetime”. He valued his studies and he grabbed every single blessing that comes along in his way to learn new things and developed him-self holistically. There were times that he cried because of the situation that he encountered just because of the upbringing of his family. He said, "I couldn't imagine what life of our parents would give us to be" but “I understood their situation and I need to help them to change their way of living” he added, “They sent me to school so I need to be responsible enough” for me to become successful in the ladder that I’m is taking off”. He suffered everything for his dreams, he was too young when he experienced the hardest things in life wherein he should be worked instead of playing, he did everything even a farmer's work. he went to the house of his neighbors just to beg for work for him to earn money even in school, he made projects of his classmates in return of food and allowances to pay his bill in school. He worked with his teachers just to save money. This motivation in his life helped him to pursue his dream and it is also worth it. When he finished his high school, he continued his studies in college even he doesn't have financial assistance. He enrolled himself as an education student, He wanted to help the youth and inspired them to continue their studies regardless with the status in life that they have, is just a matter of determination and mind-setting. His plans to become a lawyer and doctor were changed because he wanted to help others especially “the youth” rather than fulfilling his personal interest. He grabbed the opportunity in college, he auditioned in different activities and scholarship offered by the school; dances, Arts, dramatic gills and varsity team, but fortunately his academic scholarship was granted given to those freshmen who graduated as valedictorian in Secondary Education and will have financial assistance to be given by the school full tuition fee free scholarship, but opportunity has its limitation. He worked as working student and his professor helped him to have a scholarship in varsity team. Aside from that, he also applied the scholarship granted by the government. "Work while study and take those opportunities that come along in your way", if you have dreams, work hard on it! And put God as the center of your success ", He encourages us. Success depends on the hands of the person who seized the right opportunity that comes along in his way. This life of Mr. ISIDRO ANDEA JR. inspires us on how to put up a determination and move forward despite strife that may hinder in our journey
