About to start my ninth year teaching. I have taught a wide range of students with regards to; grade, level, race, SES status, special needs, and the list goes on. I am currently teaching students with mental health needs that inhibit them from the normal school setting. I am part of a program in a district that goes on site to provide education to these students while they get their mental health needs met. I am teaching all students grades K-5 in these groups.
RELATIONSHIPS! I form strong, safe, happy, and healthy relationships with my students which leads to success. Once we have mutual trust and a safe environment in my classroom, the management comes fairly easy. Academics flow right into this system and I find I get huge growth from my students each year.
Served on the board of a charter school, was lead teacher during my fifth year teaching, served on the instructional leadership team during my seventh year teaching, have had distinguished remarks are my latest teacher evaluations, earned first place for our school's reading project/door activity when teaching second grade two years ago
Bachelor's degree and Master's degree completed from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities 4.0 in Master's program.
Love working with children and making a difference in their lives. Another passion I have is creating my own worksheets, planning templates, scheduling templates, and so forth for my teaching and friends. Trying to use that passion here on TPT:)
