TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a certified teacher with 8 years of experience teaching high school biology and environmental science. I founded and ran What's Cooking with Kids, a certified green cooking school for children of all ages for over eight years. My cooking program became well known and I did several cooking with kids segments on live television, published a cookbook for families, and was invited to the White House for the Launch of Chef's Move to Schools.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I went to college at UC Santa Cruz and earned a BA in Biology. I earned my single subject teaching credential at Dominican University in Life Science and have spent 8 years in the classroom as a Biology and Environmental Science teacher. When my two children were young, I founded What's Cooking with Kids - a mobile cooking school for children, which I ran for 8 years.
