TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have had experience teaching K-college through student teaching, volunteer work, and my educator mom. In college at UGA I studied art education and had a lot of classroom experience. I continued on after my undergrad and got my Masters of Art Education at UGA. While there I was a writing teaching assistant and helped teach undergraduate art education students. Since college I have taught art at the high school level for 7 years. I was in public school for three years, and have taught Introduction to Art, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, and AP Art. I am in my fifth year as a private school sculpture teacher. I love what I do!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love hands on learning and student centered teaching. I very rarely lecture, unless I am introducing a project. Before every project I include a powerpoint with an artist exemplar and information about their assignment. Every Tuesday I introduce a new artist, who relates to the assignment they are working on. This is why I am so many PowerPoints and am excited to out them to further use by offering them to you!
