TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am completing my 9th year in education servicing at risk students in Title I schools. For the past two years I have coached and support teachers on a middle grades campus in Houston, TX as the campus Math Coach and I am note working as a gifted and talented specialist. In my new role I support middle school teachers who service advanced learners. I have been apart of the district's curriculum writing team for 4 years and I love it! I enjoy writing curriculum and sharing instructional strategies that allow students to grow to enjoy mathematics.

MY TEACHING STYLE

As a classroom teacher my style of teacher is "organized chaos." Some understand it some do not, but students love it! My goal is to instill the passion I have for educating in students toward learning. I promote positive math talk in the classroom and not a fan of answers! While answer are important the process or how you arrived at the answer is most valuable in order to be successful.
