ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My heart and my free time live for the outdoors where much of my work existed before and after college. I began teaching full time at the age of 30, and after ten years self-employed as a backcountry guide and musician, working indoors every day as a full time classroom teacher was torture. But once I invited the outdoors into the classroom and figuratively launched the classroom outside of the walls of education, magic happened.
