I am a Special Education teacher in the heart of Chicago with over 10 years experience teaching students in grades Pre-k to 5th. I am a firm believer in inclusion and co-teaching. I am a certified Reading Specialist and have a strong passion for teaching young children how to read. I am trained in a number of research based reading interventions including Wilson's Fundations and Orton Gillingham.
My teaching style is very multi-sensory. I love incorporating hands-on learning activities and manipulative based instruction. I am a firm believer in differentiation and center's based instruction to ensure that all students are receiving the proper interventions to help them smile and learn!
I am currently a Supervisor of Special Education in the Spring-Ford Area School District. I absolutely love helping teachers analyze data in order to provide proper interventions for struggling students in the general education setting.
