I am a graphic designer with over 20 years of professional experience designing high-end retail store graphics as well as classroom environmental posters used as teaching tools for K-12 classrooms. In my spare time, I volunteer as a chaperone and lead projects for 8th-high schoolers on weekend church retreats.
I enjoy creating posters that kids love hanging in their lockers as well as seeing youth inspired by art. My goal is to create posters for classrooms with inspirational quotes combined with my photography. Now that I have young nieces and nephews who love to color, I also want to reach a younger audience by creating color book pages. Yes, they have inspired me!
I created a school locker poster that received international attention. It was featured on MSNbc, was in numerous papers and magazines, was in a documentary for a British tv show who flew here to interview for it. A few people who received my poster are former UK prime minister, Tony Blair, Prince Charles, and Jim Cavezel. As exciting as all this is to me, the best audience for my work are kids and the energy they give back to me by sharing art this way. It's hard to describe the feeling, but it's beyond joy to me.
I have a Commercial Photography Degree and a Graphic Design Degree.
