Wuf Shanti is a Yoga Dog character that was created by a child for other children to promote health and wellness and encourage peace and positivity. Wuf Shanti is on local PBS stations, and on the Children's TV Network (the in-house TV station at children's hospitals across the country and internationally). There are 7 books (6 fictional and 1 non-fictional), 100+ videos, and a mindful mobile app, the Wuf Shanti Yoga Fun Machine.
Wuf Shanti teaches yoga, meditation, and mindfulness through fun games and music. Shanti means peace. We believe that practicing "yoga off the mat" is essential in today's world to stem the tide of violence, cope with emotions in a productive way, and heal the mind. Developing a yogic-mindset as an automatic response to stress helps children become less anxious, less depressed, and less angry and grow into happier, content peace-loving adults.
Wuf Shanti books, videos, and mobile app were awarded the Mom's Choice Award for "Best in Family-Friendly Media, Products, and Services." Common Sense Media named Wuf Shanti in "Best Health and Games Apps for Kids."
