I have taught K-5 all subject areas. I've also taught 6-9 Math and Reading and Special Education classes.
I believe students should be engaged and active while learning so I use games, flashcards, sorting activities, songs, anything to keep learning active and fun.

I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. I received my master’s degree in special education from Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas.
I was born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas. I attended the University of Texas in Austin, where I met my husband Alex. We spent the next 20 years traveling around the country as a military family. This gave me the opportunity to meet and learn from a variety of people. It also gave me the opportunity, out of necessity, to teach many grade levels, subjects and types of students. When my husband retired, we moved back to my hometown where I continued teaching elementary - my favorite. My teaching career was interrupted when my son was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2011. At that time, I resigned my teaching position and became a caregiver/advocate for my son and children's cancer. I'm happy to say that my son is in remission! However, we still travel to doctor's appointments quite frequently so I’ve decided to focus on being a resource for other teachers by placing my teaching materials on Teachers Pay Teachers. I hope you enjoy them and find them useful!
