My last position as a Head Teacher of Infants and Key Stage 1 enabled me to design and implement clear, reflective planning. Time and delivery of lessons was always an issue, more so in a duel language environment. Designing plans to compliment or reflect the curriculum content was a way we succeeded. These I would like to share with teachers.
My training was the British Curriculum and later, the bilingual and Spanish Curriculums. All these experiences in teaching have provided a solid foundation and an insight to what works and what does not. My teaching, planning and teacher training is a holistic, kinestetic approach, but not forgetting that learning needs an outcome, purpose and evaluation.
Nominated for the British Council ELTons 2016 Awards as author of MacMillan Early Learning Journey, home to school learning project. Dex the dinosaur books 3-5 years infant education.

Additional to being a teacher, I have for many years been a teacher trainer. Additionally, synthetic phonics is a main area of my training, more so using it in the bilingual classroom.
