12th year of teaching in England and specialising in Infants (4-7yos). I initially specialised in Early Years Foundation Stage (Year R/K 4-5yos) but after 5 years branched out! I have had my own classes in Year R, 1 and 2 (US grades PreK, K and 1) but through supply (substitute) teaching have taught all the Primary Grades of Nursery through to Year 6 (US Preschool thru Year 5).

If it ain't fun, it ain't done! I seriously love teaching. Honestly, I adore it. I have SO. MUCH. FUN teaching and if the work isn't something I would enjoy teaching I don't do it (or adapt to a point where I can!). I love surreptitiously getting kids to learn through interactive games, theme days and cross curricular work. I also love to make the learning apply to their real lives and make it completely relevant and stick with them for life! Welcome along!

I've never won any teaching awards, but it is an honour to be part of a child's learning journey and see the light of excitement and understanding shine in their gorgeous little faces!

I have always loved to learn and my mum was an advocate and teacher within "Lifelong Learning". I did teacher training "on the job" on the Isle of Wight when I realised that I did want teaching to be my life!

I am a puppy loving, dairy free zone, wife, stepmum, bookworm, colour-aholic, watercolour painting, home cook, plus size knitter and fabric hoarder!
